Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This policy sets out what you may and may not do with Nobex Streaming. It applies to everything you broadcast, record, publish or store on the platform, and forms part of the Terms of Service.
We are deliberately light-touch. We are infrastructure, not an editor, and we have no interest in policing taste or opinion. The rules below exist because breaking them creates real legal or operational harm.
1. Rights and licensing
You must hold the rights to everything you transmit. In particular:
- music you stream must be covered by an appropriate performance and webcasting licence for your territory;
- anything you publish on demand — a podcast episode, a downloadable recording — needs separate on-demand rights, which a webcasting licence does not provide (see Recording & On-Demand Rights);
- you must not use the Service to redistribute another station's stream without their permission.
2. Content that is not allowed
You may not broadcast, record, publish or store content that:
- infringes copyright, trade marks or other intellectual property;
- sexually exploits or endangers children, in any form;
- incites or threatens violence, or promotes terrorism or a violent extremist organisation;
- harasses, defames or targets an individual for abuse;
- is unlawful in the territory you broadcast to, or breaches a court order or regulatory direction that applies to you;
- was recorded without a consent the law required you to obtain (see §4 of the recording terms); or
- deceives listeners about who is speaking — including synthetic or cloned voices presented as a real person without disclosure.
3. Platform integrity
You may not:
- inflate listener numbers by any artificial means, or interfere with our metering, reporting or billing;
- share, resell or sublicense your stream credentials, or use one account to serve stations you do not operate, unless your plan says otherwise;
- circumvent plan limits — listener caps, bitrate ceilings, recording allowances, storage — by technical means;
- probe, scan, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to our infrastructure, or any customer's station but your own; or
- use the Service to distribute malware, run a botnet, or send unsolicited bulk messages.
Security researchers: we welcome good-faith reports. Email security@nobexpartners.com before testing anything that could affect other customers.
4. Recording and privacy
If you record shows, you are responsible for telling guests, contributors and callers, and for obtaining consent where the law requires it. Some jurisdictions require the consent of every party to a conversation, and a recording of an identifiable voice is personal data under the GDPR and similar laws.
5. Fair use of resources
Plans are sold on listening hours, bandwidth, storage and recording allowances. Using substantially more than your plan provides — or using the Service in a way that degrades it for other customers — may lead us to ask you to upgrade, to apply overage charges as set out in your plan, or to throttle.
6. What we do about breaches
Our response is proportionate to the harm. Where we can, we contact you first and give you a chance to fix it. Where content is plainly unlawful, where a valid legal notice requires removal, or where the platform or other customers are at risk, we act immediately.
Actions available to us include removing specific content, disabling a feature (such as recording or podcast publishing), suspending a station, and terminating an account. We maintain a repeat-infringer policy for copyright, described in the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
7. Reporting a problem
Copyright: send formal infringement notices to our designated agent, whose details are in the Copyright & DMCA Policy. Anything else: abuse@nobexpartners.com. Please include the station and, where relevant, the date and time.
